I'm calling this a headboard because I'm not sure what else to call it, but this is really more than a headboard - it's serious furniture! This is designed to go above a king-size bed frame - the bed just slides into the middle. It has 6' x 2' cabinets on each side, each of which has two upper shelves with doors, a 'nightstand' area (with a pull-out extension), and two drawers. The center section has two upper lights, reading lights for each side of the bed, and a small cabinet for each side. The whole piece is well made with solid oak everywhere but the backs of the cabinets.
