Day one was great - 9.5 hours of web and Drupal! I took in six targeted sessions, as well as the morning keynote by Dries Buytaert,
the creator of the Drupal content management system (which runs several seminary sites,, including this one), in which he ranged from the system's dorm-room beginnings to the idea that we need to "replace planning with coordination" (quoted from Clay Shirky).
Laptops, netbooks, projectors, and wifi abound, including a live stream of #drupalcon Twitter tweets. The ime between sessions is mostly coffee and chatting with the many brilliant 'Drupalistas' around - conference attendance is about 1400 people.
This morning's keynote is "Is Drupal moral?" - should be interesting...
